A Quake 4 competition mod. Featuring Brightskins and other multiplayer enhancements.
What is Q4 X-Battle?
Q4 X-Battle in its current version is a service modification for quake4.
It was and will be designed for competition uses like ladders, leagues
and tournaments.
As you know, there is no SDK available yet, so we
only can make little changes to the scriptfiles. Later versions will
have a lot of more features inside to make q4 as good as possible for
competition use. At the moment the changes X-Battle made are hardcoded
and can't be change via commands, this will be changed after the SDK is
out.
So, if you're a ladder or tournament supervisor and looking
for a serious mod for quake4, then you should try X-Battle and then

Whats does Q4 X-Battle?
Up to version 0.04b it only change the modelskins of the marines to a
shiny green and the skin of the strogg team to a shiny orange ( which
looks like yellow ). It also skins the grenades from the grenade
launcher to red-yellow.
The weaponswitch in the HUD was enhanced to show the current amount of ammo for each weapon.
