Clanbase will use Quake 4 X-Battle for competitions

ClanBase and the GGL has announce that the Q4 X-Battle modification will be the official mod used in all cups and ladders. Starting with the upcoming EuroCups and AmeriCups.
Picking a mod
With the absence of a Software Development Kit, SDK, for Quake 4, the crew
still had to make a decision on which modification would fit the
competitions best.
In close collaboration with the Q4 X-Battle modding-team, both parties
are dedicated to further development of the mod to make it a
great tool for clans and players in the ClanBase and GGL Quake 4
competitions.
Why is a mod needed?
For one the lack of brightskins has been a major focus since the release of Quake 4.
Mods solving this and others issues in Quake 4 like improved HUD have come to the rescue, but right now the X-Battle mod was the best fit.
